pagoclone xr for stuttering

A product known as pagoclone xr for stuttering is at an advanced stage in trials and it is believed that it has the potential to bring much-needed relief to those patients affected by this disorder. Pagoclone xr for stuttering is a novel, non-benzodiazepine member, of the cyclopyrrolone class of compounds and acts as a gamma amino butyric acid (GABA) partial agonist. In clinical studies in anxiety disorders, it has been shown to reduce the symptoms of panic and generalised anxiety without causing the sedation or withdrawal effects, seen with benzodiazepine agents. It is understood that pagoclone xr for stuttering increases the action of GABA in the brain and thus has the capacity to possibly reduce excess neuronal activity and the severity of persistent developmental stuttering. In the on-going trials of pagoclone xr for stuttering, functional brain imaging assessments have been collected and sent to clinical centres for evaluation. Initial signs are therefore very encouraging, indeed, during research it was noted that some voluntary patients who received pagoclone xr for stuttering, reported a dramatic reduction in their stuttering condition, but after discontinuation of treatment the stuttering returned to pre-study levels.
